You have sole ownership of your vision. And the Universe will give you what you want within your vision. What happens with most people is that they muddy their vision with “reality”. Their vision becomes full of not only what they want but what everybody else thinks about what they want, too. Your work is to clarify and purify your vision so that the vibration that you are offering can then be answered. ~ Abraham
There comes a point when we need to take responsibility for the state of our lives, particularly if our life experience isn’t what we would want it to be. We have to stop blaming our parents, or the city we grew up in, or the school we attended, or the bullies in that school. As in the Abraham quote above, “You have sole ownership of your vision.”
The Out of the Whirlwind program guides us to take responsibility for our lives by writing down our thoughts about our lives. Putting our thoughts down provides a tool for examining what is going on in our lives as well as a way of getting the answers we are looking for to move in the direction of the life we truly want to live.
Instead of just letting life happen to us, focused journaling helps us to figure things out. I say focused journaling because the Out of the Whirlwind Journal provides the structure needed for attaining the lives we desire much more so that randomly jotting down our thoughts in a notebook.
As one journal user said about the structure provided in the Out of the Whirlwind Journal, “Something just clicked. It was like going from being deaf to being able to hear. It made sense.”
In order to move forward, we need to acknowledge that something in our lives truly sucks and not how we wish it to be, and take responsibility for it. We can tell ourselves until we are blue in the face, “There’s got to be a better way!” but until we accept responsibility for taking an honest look at our lives, life will continue to happen to us, likely in ways that we’re not too crazy about.
But this isn’t about placing blame on or shaming ourselves either! This is about taking our lives back from our minds to ultimately live the life of our desires. When we open ourselves up to the desire of a better life, we are presented with opportunities, people, circumstances, situations, etc. that all lead to what we desire. This may seem to happen as if by magic, but what’s at work here is the Reticular Activating System. Click the link for a 13-minute video that clearly explains the Reticular Activating System.
The Out of the Whirlwind Journal is also designed to prevent the muddying of our visions. As the Abraham quote above states, “What happens with most people is that they muddy their vision with “reality”.” When we explore the Perspectives of the Out of the Whirlwind Journal, we are guided to keep our Visions separate from our Current Reality. Using this structure in the journaling process allows us to take responsibility for our current reality while at the same time engage our Reticular Activating System for our vision.
Own your vision, write it down, so you can understand what you really think. Separate your thoughts into what is wanted and what is not wanted in each field. ‘My vision’ and ‘Current Reality’ become clearer and clearer and clearer leading you to find your path and your knowing of how you really want things to be.
If you’re not sure what you want to be or have in your life, let this be your starting point. Put those thoughts down in the field of ‘Current Reality’ and then use that discomfort of not knowing what you want as guidance such as, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I were clear about my purpose?” or “Wouldn’t it be nice if I had a clear vision for my life?”
By reflecting on and editing what you have written, thereby going deeper into your truth, you begin to see what you really think and feel and the knowing of what you want and don’t want for your life truly emerges. This leads to an energetic opening and allowance that bring more and more opportunities to move you in the direction of your heart’s desires.
Try it. What do you have to lose?
